A Look Back at the V-Series
The V-Series has been a part of the Cadillac brand since 2004. The specialized line came around as the mindset at General Motors shifted Cadillac towards a bigger audience in the United States, namely surrounding higher performing vehicles. The first-ever vehicle that was donned with the now-infamous V-Series badge was the Cadillac CTS. The CTS-V differed from its original model with a V8 instead of a V6 engine, larger shocks, bigger anti-roll bars, and a higher spring rate. Many other models followed the same path of the CTS-V, including the XLR-V, the STS-V, and the 2nd generation CTS-V. Traditionally, V-Series vehicles have been coupes and sedans, the V-series badge indicative of their high-performing counterparts. Along with the release of the 2nd generation CTS-V Sedan came the first V-Series CTS-V Wagon. The latest years of V series vehicles have transformed the brand into high-performing sedans and sports cars with powerful engines, impressive front grilles,
A Brand-New Addition
The newest addition to the V-Series family is the Cadillac Escalade. The Escalade-V is going to be the first-ever SUV to wear the V-Series badge but has the added benefit of thrusting Cadillac into the world of high-performance SUVs alongside several other luxury SUV brands. As it’s the first of its kind, there is a ton of excitement surrounding the grand-reveal of the newest V-Series. The release of the Escalade-V has followed in the footsteps of the recent release to the exciting CT5-V Blackwing, and Escalade-V promises a ton of power, size, and luxury.
The Future of Cadillac Escalade
A three-row luxury SUV and its larger-than-life features seem like an unusual candidate for the V-Series badge, but with Cadillac’s refined handling and amazing engineering, it’s a dream come true for many. The vehicle will likely be powered by an engine similar to the CT5-V Blackwing, and sports a massive front grille that only seems to add to the SUV’s size. The Escalade-V features a unique wheel and photos have revealed red brake calipers which are likely from Brembo brakes, which have had a hand in many other V-Series Cadillac vehicles. Everyone around Bob Moore Cadillac of Edmond is looking forward to seeing how the Escalade exceeds expectations when outfitted with the V-Series badge.
