Cadillac CT4 vs. Audi A4 vs. BMW 3 Series
When looking at luxury sedans, three names rise to the top of the list with the addition of the Cadillac CT4. This stylish model excels in the same category as the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. Compare the three sedans to see which one has more of what you want.
All three of these models include all-wheel drive for more stability in all kinds of road conditions. The 2021 Audi A4 is limited to all-wheel drive only, but the 2021 Cadillac CT4 and BMW 3 Series include rear-wheel drive as an option. For power, all three models have a 2.0L I-4 engine. The Cadillac overpowers the Audi with 237 horsepower compared to 201 horsepower for the A4. Both the Cadillac and BMW include an eight-speed automatic with OD and auto-manual transmission, which is slightly better than the seven-speed of the A4. The CT4 is also a bit easier to maneuver with a smaller turning radius.
One of the best features about this set of sedans is affordability as they are all entry-level models in the luxury sedan category. Priced below $50,000, they can easily fit into your budget. However, the 2021 Cadillac CT4 comes in almost $6000 below the Audi for the base all-wheel drive model and about $10,000 less than the BMW 3 Series.
Comfort and Convenience
For the lower price, you get about the same features for the 2021 Cadillac CT4 as with the Audi and BMW. You’ll appreciate fewer stops at the gas station with a larger fuel tank at 17 gallons compared to just over 15 gallons for the Audi and BMW. This sedan is also lighter in weight, making it more efficient. Everyone will enjoy a relaxing ride with more legroom in the CT4 over the other two models. Another bonus feature for the Cadillac is an available engine block heater to warm up the vehicle, which isn’t an option for the other two models’ base trims. This model also provides a sporty, smooth ride with touring suspension over the regular suspension of the Audi and BMW while remote start is standard across trims and only available on the BMW base.
Technology and Security
All three models come with an outstanding warranty. However, the 2021 Cadillac CT4 takes it a step further with a 72-month/70,000-mile powertrain warranty, which is well above the 48-month/50,000-mile warranties for the Audi and BMW. Only the Cadillac and BMW offer free maintenance as well. Each sedan includes features to keep everyone safe, such as airbags. However, the CT4 and A4 include knee protection airbags at the base trim while the BMW doesn’t make it available. The same two models include safety belts that are adjustable for height.
